Terms & Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:

“Activation” means the first use of a Pass at a Merchant and a pass so used is “Activated”;

“Merchant” means one of the parties listed herein that operates an Attraction and from whom services can be redeemed using the Pass;

“Pass” means a group of services and/or attractions provided as a single purchase price to the consumer;

“you” or “your” means the individual purchasing the Pass; and

“we” or “Bandwango” means [Bandwango, LLC].

Ottawa Museums Pass

These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and Bandwango in respect of the Ottawa Museums Pass.

This Pass allows you to visit up to ten (10) of the following attractions: Bytown Museum; Canada Agriculture and Food Museum; Canada Aviation and Space Museum; Canada Science and Technology Museum; Canadian Museum of History; Canadian Museum of Nature; Canadian War Museum; Diefenbunker: Canada’s Cold War Museum; National Gallery of Canada; Royal Canadian Mint (the “Attractions”, assuming availability which may fluctuate seasonally).

If you have purchased a One-Day Pass, it enables you to visit the Attractions for a period of Twenty-Four (24) hours following Activation, during the business hours of such Attractions and subject to any access requirements of a Merchant. If you have purchased a Three-Day Pass, it enables you to visit the Attractions for a period of Seventy-Two (72) hours following Activation, during the business hours of such Attractions and subject to any access requirements of a Merchant. The number of hours in which you can use a Pass cannot be changed or extended for any reason.

A Pass must be Activated within sixty (60) days of purchase. Activation of a Pass can take place at any Merchant and will occur at your first use of the Pass with a Merchant at the moment the Pass is processed by the Merchant and the period of hours for which the Pass is valid shall commence immediately on such first use.

Visit Ottawa Pass

These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and Bandwango in respect of the Visit Ottawa Pass.

This Pass allows you to visit five (5) attractions of your choice from the “Pick 5” list of attractions and experiences (“Pick 5”). It also gives access to deals and discounts to various businesses across Ottawa (Discounts). Attractions may change throughout the year based on seasonality.

The Three-Day Pass enables you to visit up to five (5) of the Pick 5 offerings and an unlimited number of the Discounts for a period of Seventy-Two (72) hours following Activation, during the business hours of each Merchant and subject to any access requirements of a Merchant. The Pick 5 and Discount passes are non-exclusive and are each activated separately by redeeming at the first Merchant. The number of hours in which you can use a Pass cannot be changed or extended for any reason.

A Pass must be Activated within sixty (60) days of purchase. Activation of a Pass can take place at any Merchant and will occur at your first use of the Pass with a Merchant at the moment the Pass is processed by the Merchant and the period of hours for which the Pass is valid shall commence immediately on such first use.

The Merchants are providing services pursuant to the Pass and are fully and solely responsible for all matters pertaining to the Attractions and/or the services provided, including without limitation the care and quality of all services it provides to you and for any and all injuries, illnesses, damages, claims, liabilities and costs (“Liabilities”) you may suffer, directly or indirectly, whether related to the use or redemption of a Pass or not.

Additional Passes Managed by Ottawa Tourism

These terms and conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you and Bandwango in respect to any additional free passes managed by Ottawa Tourism, including but not limited to: Flash Your Badge, Capital City Bites, and the Ottawa Inspiration Passport. The use of some unpaid passes (ex: Flash Your Badge, Ottawa Inspiration Passport) may be limited to clients and conference-goers, under the sole discretion of Ottawa Tourism.

These unpaid passes allow for deals and/or discounts at participating businesses that may change with little to no notice.

An unpaid pass that is associated with a specific event may only be active for the duration of the specific event, depending on the event and the pass. A Pass that is not associated with an event must be Activated within sixty (60) days of purchase. Activation of a Pass can take place at any Merchant and will occur at your first use of the Pass with a Merchant at the moment the Pass is processed by the Merchant and the period of hours for which the Pass is valid shall commence immediately on such first use.

The Merchants are providing services pursuant to the Pass and are fully and solely responsible for all matters pertaining to the Attractions and/or the services provided, including without limitation the care and quality of all services it provides to you and for any and all injuries, illnesses, damages, claims, liabilities and costs (“Liabilities”) you may suffer, directly or indirectly, whether related to the use or redemption of a Pass or not.

You hereby waive and release Bandwango, LLC and Ottawa Tourism and Convention Authority, Inc., including their subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, employees, and agents, (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all Liabilities arising from, related to, or sustained in connection with the Pass, the Attractions, and any act or omission of a Merchant, its employees, agents, contractors, and invitees, in connection with your use of a Pass or an Attraction or the services or experiences a Merchant provides in connection with the Pass. The Released Parties are providing no warranties of any kind in respect of the Pass, the Attractions, or the Merchants, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Privacy Policy

Customer information is collected by Bandwango for the purpose of processing your order and is collected, used, retained and disclosed in accordance with its privacy policy, available here: https://www.bandwango.com/privacy-policy.

Ottawa Tourism may access and use customer information related to pass purchases, fulfilment, and redemption. Personal information is processed through the embedded Bandwango widget, which operates on behalf of Ottawa Tourism. Ottawa Tourism’s handling of personal information is governed by its Visit Ottawa Passes Privacy Policy, available here: Privacy Policy

Customer information is kept confidential and is not shared except to the limited extent disclosure may be required under applicable law. During checkout, we may ask you if you would like to receive marketing communications. If you opt-in, then you will receive communications according to what you opted into.

Refund Policy

Refunds on a Pass that has not been Activated can be requested within Sixty (60) days of your purchase of the Pass, after which time no refunds will be provided. Restrictions on refunds apply. No refunds will be provided where a Pass is Activated or in respect of any specific Attraction.
